At Petite Journey, we see the early childhood years as a precious time during which a child’s mind is “hungry” to experience and learn. If we, childcare providers, can offer an environment that responds to all the developmental needs of young children, then we know we provide high quality education. To meet the needs of our little students, we have planned and developed a mix of play-based and academic approaches that is enriching, stimulating, and age appropriate, aligning with the California Preschool Learning Foundations.

With a fervent passion for children and 12 years of experience as a dedicated preschool teacher and childcare provider, I am excited to open the doors to my daycare. My journey in the field of early childhood education, has been a heartfelt exploration of the incredible potential each child holds. The joy of witnessing their growth, the sparkle of curiosity in their eyes, and the bonds formed have fueled my dedication. These experiences have driven me to establish Petite Journey, where I can provide a warm, enriching environment for young children. At Petite Journey, we celebrate the uniqueness of each child, fostering not only knowledge but also confidence, empathy, and a lifelong love for learning. Our daycare is ideally situated near two beautiful parks, Alamo Square and the PanHandle, providing an enriching outdoor experience for the children in our program. With weekly visits to these green spaces, our little students can explore, develop important gross motor skills, and socialize.
It’s our way of ensuring that children not only receive quality care but also get the opportunity to enjoy being in the nature and learn in different environment.
We see community walks and visits to local parks not only as fun times but also as invaluable experiences for young children. These outings provide a wonderful opportunity for them to explore new environments, from vibrant neighborhoods to serene green spaces, broadening their horizons and fostering an appreciation for diversity. These excursions also serve as valuable teaching moments, where we introduce safety rules and guidelines, cultivating essential life skills. Every exposure to a new environment is a unique learning opportunity, helping children grow both intellectually and socially, while instilling in them a sense of wonder and curiosity.
Our program makes sure that outdoor time rhymes with safety. The children are securely transported in safe strollers and provided with bright yellow vests for enhanced visibility.

We are located in the beautiful and lively neighborhood of North of the Panhandle. We have two beautiful parks nearby, Alamo Square and Panhandle and we are a few blocks away from French American International School of San Francisco. It is easy to get to our location with public transportations (many bus lines serving the area).
